Action Wipes Review and Chance to Win

Action Wipes Were Much Needed at the 24 Hours of Moab
Update 4/5/09: Martha from Action Wipes wants to add some romance to the giveway (Details below). She is adding a special gift set for the winner so a big thanks to her.

Adventures in the outdoors are sure to leave you dirty and not smelling so fresh. I’ve done 2 week long backpacking trips so I’m quite tolerant of not being the cleanest. Still after a long, hard bike ride or other adventure, I hate the feeling of salt and other crud caked on my face.

Action Wipes PackageLast fall before the 24 Hours of Moab, Martha from Life Elements sent me some Action Wipes. I got them on a hot day and there was a strong smell of Eucalyptus so I had my doubts about them. I don’t like scents because I’m allergic to most of them and they trigger my asthma. Fortunately I’m not allergic to Eucalyptus.

I wasn’t racing this time but I was out on the course taking photos of the 24 Hours of Moab racers. During the early part of the race, there was a dust storm. As you can see from the photo above, I made good use of the Action Wipes. I’ve been using them since then including last week when I was mountain biking in Moab and sleeping in the back of my van.

I was concerned that I’d smell like the Eucalyptus and tea tree oils. Turns out I can barely smell them right after using an Action Wipe. They leave me feeling nice and clean and smelling much better. Even better they don’t use artificial scents that bother my allergies and asthma unlike most baby wipes.

Action Wipes feel almost like using a cloth but baby wipes feel slimy to me. Action Wipes are large and strong enough to wipe off most of my body if I’m not too disgusting. They are more convenient and feel better than using cold water and a cloth except that cold water can feel good on a hot day.

If you’re looking for a convenient way to clean up after your adventures, Action Wipes is your answer. Use coupon code ultra to receive 15% off your order of Action Wipes.

I’m giving away a 5 pack of Action Wipes this week. Tell me in the comments below why I should give them to you. Enter by this Sunday night (April 5th) and I’ll post a winner Monday morning. Good luck!

I have been doing a few more trail runs lately and it would be great to try to feel clean after a quick run. To then be able to go out and get a bite to eat and not seem like I was just running.
In addition I am looking to do the Muddy Buddy and it would be great to have something right after to clean up as well.

    Here is to winning.

Plus being able to get something from @MarthaVan.

OK, I commute to work on my bicycle. Depending on how much light there is when I start, it’s 9 to 11 miles each way. Starting Monday, April 6th, they are closing off part of the building to renovate a classroom into a gym, opening in October. Why do I need action wipes? Because for part (or maybe all, nobody will tell me how long) of the construction, the showers in our office will be closed. When the new gym opens, there will be three showers for Men, but for a while, nada. I need some Action Wipes to keep people from requesting to move to other cubes, or other floors. I need Action Wipes to prevent people from intentionally working alternate hours. I need Action Wipes to allow people to say “Good Morning” to me and not be thinking “Good God, why can’t you drive an SUV like everyone else?”.

And yes, I’m big (6’6″, 235 lbs) and hairy. Sorry, TMI, but you would take that into account if you had the cube next to me.

I train everyday swimming, running, or biking with most days doing at least two workouts. In order to fit them all in I need to do one in the morning before work and then one after work. I also have a baby due real soon so my time allowed for showers and self cleaning will be drastically shortened to non existent. New baby = no sleep and not much time to train. Being able to use action wipes after I work out would really help me save on time and energy. Plus I won’t be getting all of those weird looks that I get now when I go into the office right after working out. I’ve heard many good things about them just haven’t had the chance to try them out yet. I’ve got plenty of baby wipes stocked up but those stink bad and leave your skin feeling gross.

  4. Every week I go mountain biking with a group of friends. After the ride, they all go to Chipotle for good food and beer. I never go cause I hate just changing into street clothes without being able to clean up first. With Action Wipes, I think I’d be able to clean up and head over with them all for some grub. And really, what’s a good mountain bike ride like unless I can have some mexican food and beer afterwards?

I'm an outrigger paddler (well, and a cyclist and dragon boater, too ;>). I paddle on the nastiest, dirtiest, most vile body of water known to man: the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. If that weren't already bad enough, when I'm either launching or taking my outrigger out of the river, I inevitably get some toxic Canadian Goose poop on my delicate person. Now add in a 45 minute ride home through the streets of Not So Brotherly Love and you can imagine what both I and the interior of my car look and smell like. Given that I am already hot. sweaty and wet with dirty river water, the poop really adds to my personal bouquet!

Please help me to restore some post workout cleanliness!

Oooooo! I’ve been wanting to try these! These would be awesome for camping and for my triathlons! I am such a klutz and I always fall off my bike at each tri event. If I had a pack of these in my handy-dandy racing backpack, I could clean the gushing blood from my knees and shoulders fast and easy.

Hmmm How I missed this thus far I have no idea!! For me it is not so much that I deserve them as I NEED them!! You see I have a lovely wife that always smells nice like fruits and lavender and such. Well I am a messy guy. Anytime I go out for “fun” I invariably end up late to meet the in-laws. And you can imagine the looks I get upon arriving to a nice dinner smelling like, er well a unkempt Yeti!

So for the love of God and all things holy, ULTRAROB the success of my marriage is held in your hands!!!

Choose wisely friend! You have my happiness in your hands!

I soooo need these for my mountain biking / bmx flying man-child, cuz it just doesn’t seem right to hand him a baby wipe to clean up after landing a 360 or a back flip. And that baby wipe smell…..just doesn’t cut it.
