What Are Your Favorite Moab Rides?

Castle Valley
I'm going to be in Moab for a couple days the beginning of next week. I often end up doing the same rides when I go there. Some of my favorites are SlickRock, Porcupine Rim, Harrah Pass/Amasa Back loop and Poison Spider/Portal Trail.

They are all great rides but I know there are other ones I should give a try. What are your favorite trails that I didn't list?

I don't even have good base fitness right now but my endurance is always good. I can ride for several hours but just at a slow pace. Oh and I hurt more after the ride.

Have you ridden the "new" singletrack North of town?

I really don't feel like you can go wrong checking out chunks of the Rim Ride route. Metal masher, gold bar, seven mile rim, etc. Plus soverign as mentioned.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I'll have to try Soverign since I've never done it.

I guess I also need to give Gold Bar a second chance. I rode Poison Spider/Golden Spike/Gold Bar a few years ago with a group. 2 guys were a lot slower and we spent a lot of time waiting for them. I didn't really mind the waiting since I already had a few tough days of riding in. The problem was we were out 3 hours longer than expected and everyone bonked and got dehydrated. That may be why it's not on my list of favorite Moab rides.

Chad, I haven't ridden the singletrack north of town. I'll have to give it a try.
