Below is a video on what appears to be a fixed gear bike doing a figure skating type program except on a bike. It’s pretty impressive to watch. Certainly way beyond what I will ever be able to do.
This was filmed by me in the year 2000 or 2001 in Wuerzburg, Germany, and still i have not seen something like this anywhere. |

Yes, this bike is fixed gear. In German it’s called a “Kunstrad”. Literally translates as “Art cycle”. It’s used for such performances doing figures, they even do 2-3 persons on one bike. Do you not have any of those in the US?
But you do know about “Radball” (cycle ball)? They have similar bikes, except the handlebar is curved up more and they play a kind of soccer on it. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qO8xBlkumYM
