Double Points at Performance Bike

If you're a member of Team Performance, you should have gotten a postcard about getting double points on purchases this weekend. That means that you get 20% back instead of the normal 10%. If you aren't a member, it only costs $20 a year so it normally pays for itself with $200 purchases but this weekend it'll only take $100. I'm pretty sure you can sign up as part of your order and still get the double points. Even the $20 for membership counts for points. They also have some really good sale prices right now.

I'm getting sick of quality problems with them. The chamois in their bib shorts doesn't seem to be stitched in well, and while they have a great refund policy, it's a pain to keep going back to the retail store and exchanging them. Moreover, they don't carry the high end expensive stuff that is well known for its quality and durability, like Castelli. I could go with Pearl Izumi (which they sell) but I refuse to buy gear from a company that intentionally refuses to make jerseys big enough to fit me.

I agree some of the name brand stuff doesn't seem to be very good quality any more. It seems like they used to be better. I use them mainly for name brand components and some name brand clothing. I actually like their mid-weight cycling tights.

I'm surprised you haven't landed some sponsorship to help pay for your little RAAM excursion... heck, if I was a bike stuff maker, I'd throw some money at you.
