LaaLaLai Women's Short Sleeve Shell is a lightweight jersey that combines a windproof front panel with a mesh panel on the back. It's just Assos doing what they always do breaking convention. The first word that we associate with the jS. LaaLaLai is 'versatility.' A hybrid between an Assos jersey and a lightweight windbreaker, the jS. LaaLaLai combines their benefits into one perfectly executed garment. To do this, Assos' design mated windproof front and rear panels with traditional jersey sleeves. The shell has a more generous fit than we're used to seeing from the Swiss innovator, but this doesn't mean that it'll be flapping in the wind. Rather, the design allows you to layer under it for extra protection from the elements. The sleeves and shoulders are made of Assos' Type. 409 EVOglossy a super light and super thin, four way stretch fabric. This is where the jersey characteristics of the shell shine. The material maintains a snug fit around your shoulders and arms, giving you the feeling of a regular jersey with the benefit of wind protection. Aside from not flapping like a cheap sack, the form fit also allows the fabric to wick moisture from your skin as you sweat. A full length front zipper splits the two front panels that are made from Assos' HybroV2 luftSchutz fabric. This is a microfiber shell fabric, and its finely woven texture makes it both windproof and water resistant. The luftSchutz fabric wraps around the sides to the back, where you'll find a single zip pocket. There's a large mesh panel in the middle, framed with more EVOglossy to customize the fit and to keep the front close.
