Hi, I'm Rob Lucas. Because of my love of long distance events, I'm also known as UltraRob.
I've been exploring the outdoors by bike, foot and skis for over 30 years. You can read about my latest adventures on my blog. I hiked my first fourteener and the highest point in Colorado, Mt Elbert, when I was 9. My first 150 mile unsupported bike ride was when I was 15. I began mountain bike racing in 1989.
Since my Race Across America attempt in 2006, I've been busy catching up on life and haven't competed much. I keep hoping to get back to racing more again. You can view my my past results.
How to Contact Me
Please feel free to contact me. I love hearing from my readers and read all emails I get that don't look like spam. I'm busy so often I read an email and plan to respond later. It then gets lost in the clutter of my inbox so if you don't hear back, contact me again. I know I should be better organized but I'd rather be outside than organizing.
Have an outdoor adventure you'd like to share or would like to share some outdoor gear knowledge? I welcome guest posts, just contact me and let me know what you're interested in writing about. Work for an outdoor comapny and have some cool gear you'd like me to review? Contact me to discuss it.
I also have profiles on several of the social networks sites so you can connect with me there too.
