The ALPS Mountaineering Ultra light self inflating air pad is the ideal pad to bring along when every ounce matters, but comfort is still a must. The pads feature cored out foam to help save weight. To reduce weight even more, they feature a tapered shape to form to your sleeping bag shape. The tapered shape also makes the packed size even smaller. The Ultra light features jet stream open cell foam so air will start sucking in as soon as the valve is opened to allow for a quick inflation time. As with all of the ALPS air pads, the Ultra light series comes with a repair kit and stuff sack... which is something other companies will make you pay extra for.
