What do you get when you take Smith's proven Fuel V. 1 goggles and add multiple density foam for an even better fit Well, you end up with the Smith Fuel V. 1 Max Goggles. You still get the same tear off compatibility, fog free dual pane lens, and helmet friendly shape that's made the Fuel V. 1 a classic. The dual density foam just makes it better. To ensure that your goggles are fog free, it's essential that they have a close fit against your face. To these ends, Smith has incorporated its F. A. T. two layer face foam. Basically, it consists of a dense foam base and a soft, conforming foam mid layer. It results in a seamless interface that prevents fogging when you're riding. In fact, the two layer face foam is the upgrade that separates the Max version from the regular Fuel V. 1 goggles. And to secure the fit run after run, the straps are held in place with silicone grippers. The clear lenses included with the Fuel incorporate tear off tabs. So, you'll have clear vision, in the wettest of conditions. But, if you'd prefer something that's friendlier to both the user and the environment, they're compatible with Smith's roll off system. It's not dissimilar from an analog camera, in that the pull tab advances the film roll across the lens. And, along with being easier to use than a standard tear off, you'll also enjoy the moral high ground of taking your used lens protectors with you, rather than littering the Earth with sheets of tear off film. The Smith Fuel V. 1 Max Goggles are available in one size and in the colors Blacksilver static, Bluewhite strobe, and Silverblack static.
