While the Sidi Men's Breeze Rain Shoe technically falls under the mountain bike category, most riders we know would cringe at the idea of rolling through their coveted local trails in the rain. That said, our inner 'cross racer and gravel adventurer gets more than geeked at the idea of a lugged, trail worthy sole attached to a weatherproof upper and a Rain Tex membrane that fends off all manner of mud, rain, wind, and general unhappy nature. Being able to saunter up to the line on a drizzly, muddy day with these beauties confidently protecting your feet while the competition faces an hour of heavy shoes and squishy discomfort is a marginal gain we can definitely get on board with. The Breeze Rain incorporates a traditional ratcheting buckle at the top and hook and loop straps across the mid and forefoot for a customized, comfortable fit that's easily adjustable on the fly. Sidi adds in an extended ankle cuff with a hook and loop closure for extra protection from errant precipitation and muck. Sidi utilizes its nylon composite MTB Competition outsole to create a stable, solid pedaling platform that consistently transfers valuable watts from your feet to the pedals. A molded, reinforced heel cup contributes to efficiency by locking your heel in place to reduce power sapping heel slippage whether you're cranking on the pedals or digging in on a steep run up. For days when digging in requires even more than lugs, the Breeze's sole also accommodates two toe spikes for added traction.
