While these shoes make some sacrifices in stiffness and closure technology compared to the top end Men's Road RC, they also come in at a more budget friendly price point and offer a stiff sole and near custom fit to keep your feet cool and comfortable. Scott utilizes a strategic mix of lightweight microfiber and 3D nylon air mesh to build the Road RC's upper around its Wrap Fit construction. Wrap Fit consists of an internal layer of synthetic leather that provides extra support while conforming to your foot shape to reduce pressure points and increase comfort. In contrast to the men's Road RC's full BOA IP1 closure system, Scott outfits the Road RC Lady with a cross strap held in place by a BOA IP1 closure across the top of the shoe and two hook and loop straps to secure the midfoot and forefoot. As you'll find in all of Scott's top line shoes, an Adjustable ErgoLogic removable insole provides a customizable arch for additional tweaks to the Road RC Lady's support and fit. The Road RC Lady features an HMX carbon fiber sole similar to the men's version of the shoe, but it offers a stiffness level of nine in contrast to the level ten found on the men's side.
