The frame is also features F Surface concept, which was developed from Ridley's wind tunnel testing. Using special surface treatments at strategic locations, F Surface results in a smoother flow of air over the bike, for more aero efficiency and more speed. The Noah RS also features the full carbon fiber F Splitfork fork design that has a dramatic impact on drag reduction. Most of the air turbulence created by the bike is caused by the wheels and spokes. To reduce this turbulence, Ridley engineered a split channel into the fork arm. The Ridley Splitfork guides the incoming frontal air away from the wheel and spokes, resulting in a 7.44% reduction in drag. In fact, the Splitfork works so well that aerodynamic efficiency actually increases as you ride faster. The new Ultegra 6800 features newly redesigned ergonomic hood and lever shapes that draw inspiration directly from the company's superlative Di2 systems. Ultegra 6800 also features a fundamental redesign of the front derailleur, with a longer lever arm for more effective and precise front shifts. And, of course, there is the revolutionary new 4 arm design crankset. The new Shimano design is a fundamental rethink of how forces are distributed across the crankset spider.
