Mountainsmith Approach 35 (Old Style) Day Pack

A redesign of a Mountainsmith classic, the Approach 35 daypack is equipped with a broad array of organizational and performance features. This versatile pack is perfect for technical day hiking and large enough for overnight trips.Mountainsmith is an industry leader in the move towards sustainable construction. Reflecting Mountainsmith's commitment to using reclaimed materials whenever possible, the body of the Approach 35 is constructed of repurposed PET fabric, a material woven from threads produced from 100% recycled plastic beverage bottles. Ensuring load hauling performance, the Approach 35 has rugged suspension features found usually only on large capacity backpacks. A Delrin frame works in tandem with a compression molded backpanel to provide load stability by transferring weight to the Approach 35's pivoting waistbelt. The fit of the suspension adjusts to accommodate torso lengths ranging from 17 22. Adjustable shoulder straps, load lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further enhance fit and comfort. The Approach 35 incorporates a number of convenient access features. A throw open zippered front panel provides full access to the interior of the 2868 cubic inch packbag. Large side pockets enable you to organize gear and grant quick and easy access to contents. A large compartment in front of the main packbag features internal organization sleeves and a fleece lined optics pocket. This front compartment has expandable storage space tucked between it and the main pack body. This design is ideal for stashing extra layers. A smaller, zippered front pocket and large zippered side pockets provide additional organizational option. Other features on the Approach 35 include multiple gear attachment loops, trekking pole mounts and ice axe loops.
