A stiffened back panel and On The Fly compression system, combined with low profile, wide and lightly padded shoulder straps, create a versatile summit pack with excellent carrying capabilities and remarkably stable load control. Mountain Hardwear's unique, On The Fly compression system lets the wearer adjust the load stability while wearing the pack to help reduce sway and keep a balanced center of gravity while moving fast on rough terrain or off trail. This adjustment can be done without stopping and doesn't inhibit motion while scrambling or climbing. This versatile compression system also secures gear to the outside of the pack, but can be removed to reduce weight on truly light and fast trips.
