When it's cold and damp out, the idea of jumping on your bike with a rain jacket sends sweaty shivers up your spine. However, don't expect that to happen when you're wearing the Louis Garneau Enerblock 2 Jacket. Louis Garneau constructed this jacket using its EnerBlock fabric. This material is a three ply stretch knit that dually benefits from a polyurethane membrane and a DWR Durable Water Repellent finish. Accordingly, your freedom of movement is ensured, as well as a solid protection from both wind and water. At the same time, this fabric is highly breathable, so it ditches moisture like climbers ditch sprinters in a mountain stage. Layered with the EnerBlock is Garneau's HeatMaxx material. This is an opaque material with a soft brushed back that traps dry air near the skin. In other words, it keeps you warm. The jacket was cut with an anatomic shape, and it features a more race oriented fit. Additionally, Garneau has included a full length, two way zipper in order to provide ventilation at the top and bottom of the jacket. The zipper is backed by an inner flap that stops wind from penetrating, and there's also a zipper garage at the collar. All the seams are flatlock stitched in order to eliminate friction, and to create a closer fit to the body. Lastly, stretchable cuffs were employed, which allow for flexibility and movement at the wrists. You'll also find that the jacket has plenty of storage for winter accessories three angled back pockets, two front pockets, a zippered sleeve pocket, and a media pocket with a port for your headphones. The jacket is finished with reflective front and back accents for low light visibility.
