The three season La Sportiva Men's Trango Alp Evo GTX Boot is well equipped to tackle your spring and summer alpine ascents with finesse. The Trango is made of a durable and water resistant silicone injected leather to keep your feet protected from rolling approaches and rocky ascents. When you do come in contact with an icy couloir, the Gore Tex Performance Comfort membrane will keep your feet dry while you kick in steps. The midsole of the boot is composed of a combination of PU and EVA foam. Stiff PU in the toe and heel gives the boot a stiff alpine feel, while cushioning EVA foam ensures a comfortable hiking experience once you're below treeline. La Sportiva went with a burly Vibram sole on this boot, which will excel whether you're climbing a rocky buttress or booting up a snowy couloir, and when that couloir turns into a sketchy sheet of blue ice, the Trango will accept either hybrid or strap on crampons.
