Designed for winter hiking, the Koflach Degre Plastic Boots are compatible with Randonee ski bindings and nearly every kind of crampon and snowshoe. With greater flex and rocker than the typical plastic boot, the Degre is well suited for general mountaineering. . Y Technology combines rigid plastic for support and secure crampon attachment with supple plastic for ease of lacing and natural walking comfort. Shank is less rigid than the Koflach Arctis Expe, but still stiff enough for technical terrain and use with rigid crampons. Vario cuff articulation allows natural lateral and fore aft flex. Vibram Dalaugiri sole is optimal for high alpine expeditions, blending climbing 'zones,' push and brake 'zones,' and stability 'zones' for true all mountain function. Steel roller lacing provides unparalleled tightening without unnecessary exertion. Rubber randing absorbs impact and improves climb ability. Fully lace removable inner boot made from both open and closed cell foam to maximize insulation while blocking out moisture accommodates all foot volumes and shapes. Inner boot features thermo formable heel and ankle padding adapted from Atomic's alpine ski boots and high loft fleece to allow for a better performance fit, reduced heel lift, and increased comfort.
