While the wet stuff bounces off the fabric surface, helped along by the durable water repellent treatment, you'll be happy and dry on the inside. On hotter days that still bring rain, open up the pit zips for plenty of ventilation as you work hard to make it through to the next mile marker. The Velcro cuff adjustments seal out drafts at the wrists and an elastic hem prevents a chill up the back. The regular Fit goes over base or mid layers with ease and will still be close enough to not get caught on your pack. When the rain dies down, stuff the jacket into it's own pocket and store it in your bag for later.
