The G3 Synapse Carbon 101 Women's Ski has the fun and playful feel of a freeride ski, but with a weight that will keep you on the tails of your Lycra clad, rando racing touring partner. G3's line of award winning Synapse Carbon skis made its debut last season, and their versatile rocker profile, lightweight construction, and downhill performance made them the sweetheart of almost every major ski reviewing publication. This all new, women specific addition to the line is built to the same dimensions of the popular Synapse Carbon 101, but sports a softer flex and lighter weight, making it the ideal choice for ladies that want a do it all backcountry board. The profile of the Synapse's Stealth Rocker shape consists of a rockered tip, which allows the ski to float through pow and plane through variable conditions and has a lightly rockered tail that keeps the ski surfy and maneuverable when you're getting through the crux of a tight chute. Slight camber underfoot increases the ski's versatility and gives the Synapse the edge hold you need to safely make turns down sketchy ramps of boilerplate and suncap. What really sets the Synapse apart from other skis in its class is G3's Flyride construction. The unique, low profile build puts two layers of carbon above and below the ski's lightweight paulownia and poplar core, making the Synapse stiff, without adding a bunch of extra weight you'll have to lug up the skintrack. The Flyride construction, which reduces unnecessary mass from the edges to keep the weight down, puts powerful ABS and TPU sidewalls direct power to the edges for a stable and powerful feel. G3 added a layer of titanal to the mounting area for rock solid binding retention.
