The M60 Forty HV is 3mm wider than the standard model, which effectively increases the volume of 2. 4in tires and boosts stiffness for better grip and a more responsive platform. The M60 Forty HV model still targets the space between XC and all mountain rims with a blend of lightweight speed and big hit durability that covers the majority of off road riding. It may weigh a bit more than the standard model, but it's still among the lightest wheels we'd pair with a five inch travel 29er. Part of the weight savings are accomplished by trading in traditional bead hooks for a redesigned, hook less bead, which is both lighter and more impact resistant. The HV model's extra width also provides a higher volume tire profile for greater cornering stability and more rubber on the ground at any given time.
