The Dynafit Manaslu 2. 0 Ski and Skin Package strikes a balance between power and weight, making it an ideal kit for the dedicated backcountry skier who's as likely to get into techy spring couloirs as big February pow lines. Weight concerns, as usual, were at the forefront of the design process, so Dynafit put its lightweight paulowonia Isocore core at the center of the Manaslu, and then placed carbon stringers throughout the ski to increase torsional rigidity and dampen vibration without adding weight. The Flex Tip's 3D carbon construction dramatically trims ounces to keep the Manaslu nimble, and helps absorb vibration when you're skiing through crud and chunder. A tip notch allows for a solid attachment of the included Dynafit Manaslu speedskins, and helps with the quick transitions necessary when you're knocking out as many laps as possible. To handle the variable conditions common to the backcountry, the Manaslu has an early rise Scoop Rocker in the tip, camber underfoot, and rocker in tail. The unique triple radius sidecut allows for a relatively short turn radius when navigating tight and technical terrain, and it provides excellent edge hold on steep, icy faces. Narrow pintails allow you to easily slide the skis into your pack when you make the final push to the summit, and with all the strength saved from not having to lug a heavy pair of planks up the mountain, your legs will be feeling fresh for a fast and fun descent.
