DPS Lotus 124 Tour1 Powderworks Ski

A single directional, powder charging ski that is designed to float you on the deepest days. Built with the the Tour 1 construction, tour all day and save your energy for the way down. DPS is known for pushing the envelope on inspired designs and shapes that always seem to be ahead of their time. If the Wailer 112 is the flagship ski for DPS, then the Lotus 124 Tour 1 is the stealth bomber. This ski has one mission and that is to be the ultimate backcountry powder tool. Designed in DPS's Utah Powderworks lab, the predominate feature on this ski is its huge shovel and generous side cut that allow the ski to pivot and and turn with precision. The front of the ski incorporates a rocker profile followed by traditional camber underfoot and an early rise tail. The Lotus 124 Tour 1 does not have the same spoon design in the shovel this makes the ski similar to the wailer 112 shovel. With creative design, a wide profile and lightweight construction, the Lotus 124 Tour 1 is the true definition of a backcountry powder ski. The Tour 1 is constructed around a balsa wood core which allows for maximized weight reduction the balsa core is given strength by adding prepreg carbon fiber laminate which adds stiffness and torsional rigidity. DPS then adds a cap construction which decreases weight even further by eliminating the traditional side wall. Finally, narrow profile edges are added to shave off even more weight rounding out the blueprint for a serious backcountry ski. The Lotus 124, Tour1 edition is a full cap construction ski. It does not share the convex spooned base of the Pure3 Lotus 124.
