Just like any crack climbing shoe, the Altura has a padded tongue and mesh lining to protect your forefoot from jagged rocks inside the crack. The moisture wicking split leather footbed feels particularly wonderful in warmer weather, and the midsole offers moderate stiffness so you can edge, smear, and slab up tricky sections with supportive stability.
