The frame fit up toa 4.8 tire and has also been tuned for a smoother and more comfortable ride. But don't be fooled into thinking that this bike is a delicate little thing that needs to be coddled. The Crestone is one of the toughest carbon bikes out there, and can handle all that you or the trail can throw at it. Up front, a full carbon rigid fork keeps the gram count low, and improves efficiency and rigidity so you can ride faster and harder. A great bike isn't all just about a great frame though the component spec also needs to be on point, which is where the Crestone again hits all the marks. The Crestone X01 is outfitted as you'd expect with a SRAM X01 groupset for race ready shifting performance and an exceptionally low gram count. This 1x11 drivetrain drops one of the front chainrings, leaving only one up front so the drivetrain is lighter and simpler to operate. The alloy and carbon fiber construction cuts almost every possible gram while still deliver ZeroLoss and 1:1 shifting that gives SRAM shifters and derailleurs their legendary performance. Stopping is handled by a set of SRAM Guide RS hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm160mm rotors for exceptionally reliable and easily modulated performance in any weather or terrain. Rounding out the build is a set of Turnagain RD 80 FTD Tubeless wheels, wrapped up in Maxis Minion FBF EXO TR tires in a 4.8 width to let you truly roll over anything in your path. The finishing kit is supplied by Borealis in the form of their carbon fiber bars and seatpost, capped off with an Ergon SME30 EVO saddle.
