Lightweight and versatile, the Black Diamond Icon headlamp offers high performance for varied backcountry pursuits. A large, QuadPower LED casts a powerful beam of light, reaching a distance of over 320 feet! Two smaller SinglePower LED's can be employed when conditions call for close proximity lighting. Multiple settings allow you to regulate the length of the Icon's beam depending on what distance you need illuminated. By adjusting the length of the beam, you can maximize efficiency, increasing burn time to a maximum of 175 hours. An additional setting produces a strobe light for emergency signaling. A built in mode memory remembers the setting last utilized and returns to that setting when you turn the Icon back on. The Icon is powered by four Alkaline AA batteries included. With the batteries, the Icon weighs 7.8 ounces. An indicator light located on the headlamp housing cycles through a number of colors which indicate the Icon's remaining battery life.An elastic headband adjusts to enhance comfort and ensure that the Icon remains securely in place while in use. A top strap is included for greater stability. The housing of the Icon is hinged so you can angle the beam as needed for the conditions and the task at hand.
