New for 2014! The lightweight and versatile Big Agnes Super Scout UL 2 is a trekking pole NOTE: poles not included pitched tent built especially for backpackers. A massive front vestibule provides a wealth of external storage space.Stretching a full 86 in length, the interior of the Super Scout UL 2 is 54 wide at the head and tapers to a width of 42 at the feet. Providing 29 square feet of interior space, the Super Scout UL 2 offers ample room for two backpackers and is lightweight enough to serve as an exceptionally roomy solo tent. An awning style extension on the tent body provides weather protection and includes eve and rear vents featuring polyester mesh that maximize airflow to combat condensation build up. Two integrated storage bins at the head of the tent provide places to stash gear and clothes while integrated gear loft loops offer a connection point for the Big Agnes Triangle Gear Loft sold separately.NOTE: The Super Scout UL 2 is not freestanding and does require trekking poles with a minimum height of 45 for setup. Integrated guyout points, obvious anchor points and included reflective guylines and webbing do, however, make the Super Scout UL 2 easier to erect than it may seem at first. Fifteen super light aluminum J stakes are included to secure the pitch. One pole is also included with the Super Scout UL 2 for foot area set up.A large door provides convenient entry. The silicone treated nylon rip stop roof and floor deliver lightweight, durable, waterproof protection. All of the Super Scout UL 2's seams are seal taped with waterproof, solvent free polyurethane tape no PVC or VOCs to further protect the tent from the elements.
