After the resounding success of the ASRc, with its versatile blend of cross country speed and burly enduro aggression, Yeti set out to make a bike that harnessed those same coveted ride qualities for those of us with a little less dough in our bank accounts. The 2016 Yeti Cycles ASR Enduro Complete Bike utilizes a slightly different carbon layup to offer the same strength and stiffness as the ASRc but with a slightly heavier frame and a significantly reduced price point. Yeti rounds out the build with plush Fox suspension, a smooth shifting SRAM GX one by drivetrain, the new SRAM Guide R hydraulic brakes, and a set of DT Swiss hoops to tackle rocky trails and epic singletrack. As in the ASRc, Yeti shows its passion for all mountain riding by keeping the ASR Enduro's head tube angle relatively relaxed for stability while bombing downhill. The suspension also helps with that. It's a lightweight, single pivot design that uses Yeti's carbon Loopstays rear swing arms with a FOX Float Performance DPS shock to provide a highly controllable and reactive platform that's efficient on climbs and confidently eats hits on the way down.
