The good folks at Yes Snowboards don't believe in discrimination. They think snowboarding should be fun and affordable for everybody even people with bigger boots than the average rider. And thus, the Basic Wide Snowboard was born. With a moderate twin flex, poppy yet playful CamRock profile, and high quality construction, the Basic basically lays waste to parks, pow runs, and everything in between. The CamRock profile features mellow camber between the bindings for pop and power, with rocker at the tip and tail for float in pow and a catch free feel on hardpack. Poplar in the core keeps it lightweight and lively, and biax glass gives it a consistent flex for predictable handling. The extruded base is easy to repair if you ding it up on a park rail or a hidden rock. Last year Yes decided to switch out the OverBite edges for UnderBite edges. So instead of having extra contact points stick out at the inserts, the edges are actually pulled in at the inserts. This award winning design feature increases edge pressure in a way that enhances turning ease and edge hold. The twin shape makes riding switch and landing fakie easier, and a radial sidecut allows for smooth turn initiation. Basically, the Basic handles like a dream wherever you take it.
