With its moderately spaced center tread and abundant side knobs, the Wolverine mountain bike tire rolls smoothly on the flats, climbs ferociously and sinks its teeth into corners for confident handling. It features a 60 tpi casing for good damping characteristics. This fast rolling tire's tread pattern combines plentiful working edges that cling to hard pack and outside knobs that let you shed corners. Employing TCS WTB's tubeless compatible system these tires feature the best of both worlds, combining the benefits of a tubeless tire and the minimal weight of a non UST tire. WTB's proprietary 60 durometer rubber compound offers the ideal mix of rolling efficiency and traction for XC and trail riding applications. DNA rubber is renowned for being versatile and long lasting, and WTB's DNA rubber compound is the perfect mix of efficiency, traction and durability. The centerline tread features a firmer rubber compound that boasts faster rolling and increased durability, while the side knobs are composed of softer, slower rebounding rubber that improves control and grip. This tire also incorporates Inner Peace, a teardrop shaped rubber strip built into the tire's sidewall that protects the casing from damage, reduces sidewall flex and helps reduce pinch flats.
