The WhiteGold Proto U Snowboard is the result of trying to create a true twin powder board that feels more like a pow skater than a pow surfer. It has a TwinPow TBT profile and a wide waist to provide effortless float with a shorter board, and the twin shape allows you to jump, spin, and butter your way through the deep stuff both switch and regular. And when the pow gets stupid deep, it has extra setback inserts so you can turn it from a twin into a directional in order to stay afloat in the deepest snow imaginable. Triple Base Technology starts with a traditional camber profile for reliable pop and edge hold, and turns the edges up towards the tip and tail to eliminate hang ups when riding flat base, and give it the forgiving feel of rocker without sacrificing the benefits of camber. TwinPow 3BT features a narrow center flat base with the outer bases turned way up for effortless float in powder and edge to edge agility no matter how deep it gets. The Proto U has a wider waist that allows you to ride it in a shorter length than you normally would without losing any float. The medium flex keeps it loose enough for surfy turns and tweaked pow butters but is still responsive enough to charge steeps at high speeds and rip groomers. The VeryLight core is made with poplar and Paulownia for an extremely lightweight, yet strong and snappy feel. Rubberized cork sidewalls are highly impact resistant and responsive, and they dampen vibrations for a smoother ride. It's finished off with a super fast sintered base that absorbs wax well and resists damage.
