The North Face equipped the Assault 3 with DAC Featherlite NSL poles that live up to their featherlight status. Removing the roomy vestibule helps shed weight when every ounce of gear must be carefully considered. In addition to the large single door in the front, the Assault has been updated with a larger rear escape hatch to make it easier to get in and out in case of an emergency. Dual top vents work with the DryWall fabric to provide unparalleled breathability, and there are ample tabs inside for hanging gloves, drying lines, or gear lofts.
