If you are searching for a wide mountain bike handlebar with a slight rise, the Syntace Vector Carbon High10 may be the perfect lightweight addition to your cockpit. And although Syntace is probably not the first name that comes to mind when you think of mountain biking, it has been producing exquisite carbon handlebars for years in its German production facilities. Adhering to the German manufacturer's form follows function mantra, the carbon fibers used and the method in which the weaves are oriented follow the stress points and critical cross sections of the bars. The Vector Carbon High10 is designed for riders who are looking for a wide, low rise bar in order to get more control out of their steeds. Additionally, the in molded titanium lattice at the stem clamp area protects the handlebar from crushing and slips of the bar. The bar is so strong it has been VR 3 approved. This is the world's toughest test for handlebars and stems. Known as the Red Monster, this machine is able to test bars up to 800mm wide with no rider weight or usage restrictions. This allows Syntace to test the bars to total failure. Therefore, there is no weight restrictions placed on the bars. You'll notice more control, especially on downhills, with the Vector bars. The Vector 10 features, as the names implies, a 10mm rise that makes it the shallowest of the Vector line. If you want a wide bar with a high rise you may wish to try the Vector 20 or even the Vector 35. The Syntace Vector Carbon High10 bars are 740mm wide and are available with either an 8 degree or 12 degree sweep.
