If you're one of those cyclists willing to ride through almost any conditions on the road or trail just to avoid using the indoor trainer, then Sportful's Doppio Gloves, designed in cahoots with the pros at Tinkoff Saxo, may become your new best friend. That professional pedigree does appeal to our rational, pre winter minds, but when the temperature abandons pretenses at moderation and starts to plummet, rationality won't be a factor. We'll be desperate to stave off trainer hibernation. Fortunately, regardless of whether or not the decision to use the Doppio Gloves is made rationally, it's still an effective choice. The Doppios are made of Soft Shell fabric, which uses a polyurethane membrane and a fleece lining to protect an insular microclimate of warmth and comfort with a wind and water resistant barrier against external elements. These gloves don't breathe as well as Sportful's lighter offerings, but when the temperatures get below freezing you'll prefer their impermeability. The seven centimeter cuff includes a hook and loop strap, so you can seal it on the outside of your jacket or create another barrier on the inside of you jacket, depending on your own preference. The palm has a giant's fingerprint rendered in silicone to add grip and durability, and an Ultrasuede wipe on the thumb affords you targeted moisture management so you don't have to wipe your face with the gloves' rough Soft Shell exterior. Reflective piping on the back helps keep you visible in low light conditions. The Sportful Doppio Gloves are available in six sizes from X Small to XX Large in the colors Black and Whiteblack.
