The word legend gets thrown around a lot in the world of snowboarding, but when it comes to Gigi Ruf, the word might not do him justice. Meaning, it's no surprise that his original pro model Slash ATV Wide Snowboard is designed to deliver some of the highest performing features available in an all mountain shredder. Employing traditional camber, the profile used since the beginning of snowboarding, this board distributes weight evenly and increases pop, giving you a precise response and snappy, reactive feel. Plus, it's wider waist makes it perfect for riders with bigger feet. Under the hood of this board, you'll find a Forever Wood core made of paulownia, spruce, beech, and poplar wood. This four way wood blend is not only ligthweight, but it's also responsible for increasing pop and response. Additionally, Buried Treasure may be thin in composition, but it ultimately reduces the weight of the board by combining KEVLAR, carbon, and basalt to boost response and pop. Slick Tip construction in the nose and tail reduces even more weight, substantially lightening your load for hiking and riding backcountry lines. A twin shape and directional flex make it an all terrain, all conditions machine, and the tip protectors on the weight saving concave tips help it stand up to the most aggressive jibbing. Reactive Flex uses two unique fiberglass in combination with the specially profiled core to allow the board to flex across the width. So, when board sliding a rail, for example, the edges bend upwards like a skateboard to prevent you from catching an edge. And, when you're carving a turn, it works the other way around, which is not only rad but awfully convenient. Ultimately, the board's edges flex downward, making for a concave base that adds extra grip. And to give you the grip you need to hold an edge on icy kickers and bulletproof groomers, the ATV features Ultimate Traction, which consists one small, counter radius bump at the center of the sidecut to create an ad...
