Lots of shoe manufacturers talk about their sweat wicking liners and moisture management systems, but let's face it if you weren't sweating so much in your shoes, you wouldn't need the fancy moisture management. Sidi nips the problem in the bud with its Spider SRS Mesh mountain bike shoe. The first thing you'll notice when you see a Spider SRS is the generous number of cooling vents and mesh panels. The Spider's upper is made with breathable Technomicro microfiber and cooling mesh panels to keep your feet cool and dry. Inside, the tongue and instep have been generously padded, so you can crank down the buckles to your heart's content. Closure is handled by two hook and loop straps and a ratcheting buckle. The two lower straps are made with Sidi's patented High Security Velcro, so you don't have to worry about them wearing out after a few months. The top strap is Sidi's tried and true Caliper Buckle, which gives you the perfect custom fit and can be fine tuned even on the bike. The outsole is Sidi's all new Carbon Composite SRS sole. This isn't just some glass stiff bulletproof sheet of fatigue inducing carbon Sidi has tuned the SRS sole to deliver efficient power to the pedals, but also to flex enough for comfort on the bike and off, even with a bike on your shoulder. The SRS outsole also features replaceable soft rubber lugs, so you don't have to toss the shoes once the lugs are spent.
