Shimano's stellar Deore XT groupset has made the jump to 11 speed and with that move comes a top to bottom re design that ups the performance ante considerably no mean feat for such an already superb array of components. The Deore XT SL M8000 shifters have been completely re designed from the last generation to provide a simple, adaptable cockpit with the latest trickle down technology from the flagship XTR component line. The shift feel is now 20% less, meaning far less force is required to shift the chain. A longer lever body gives you more leverage to work with, further enhancing the feel and ease of shifting. The internal mechanism has been completely re worked for consistently stable shifting that will execute gear changes perfectly every time, and require none of the odd little nudges to get the chain into gear. This is coupled with an all new shift cable and housing with hyper low friction coatings. Finally, for that nice little touch, the levers both have an anti slip texture to ensure your thumbs always stay where they need to be, in even the wettest conditions. Note: This version of the XT SL M8000 shifters includes a clamp for conventional attachment to handlebars, but the shifters are also I SPEC II compatible.
