Scotia Trails & History Map

Scotia, technically called the Pennsylvania State Game Lands 176, is located just to the West of State College, Pennsylvania. This remote area is locally referred to as The Barrens, Scotia, or the Scotia Barrens. Scotia has a large established trail system setup predominantly for hiking. Cyclists and equestrians also can enjoy a series of major trail corridors that connect to several major roads, bordering parks, and the State College bike path system.
