The light and tough alloy is not only fun and will last forever, but it has a fitness tuned Schwinn Smooth Ride Tech elastomer built into the area around the seatpost to absorb vibration, take the sting out of some bumpy roads, and give you a smoother, more comfortable ride. Unlike a mechanical shock, the elastomer provides active suspension, but without any moving mechanical parts to wear out, maintain, or service. Up front, an alloy road fork provides plenty of front end side to side stiffness so you can go fast if you want to, but still delivers a silk smooth ride by soaking up chatter to make it easy on the wrists and palms. Shifting is handled by an excellent and reliable Shimano 8 speed drivetrain, paired with a triple crankset giving you 24 gears to pick from. Stopping is done with a set of powerful all weather Promax mechanical disc brakes. The bike rolls on durable and speedy Alex wheels, wrapped up in Kenda K 193 700x32c tires for extra cushion and traction.
