When conditions are prime firm snow, cold but not frigid temperatures, and pristine trails pull out the Salomon S Lab Skate Yellow Ski. A World Cup caliber rocket, the Yellow is made to give expert skiers and serious racers the boost they need to challenge for the podium, so it's not surprising that it's stiff, powerful, and responsive. Its Yellow distinction designates it as ideal for the most common conditions including: compact trails, snow that sits somewhere between wet and sloppy and bone dry, and cold to warm temperatures. The Stiff Nomex composite honeycomb core keeps weight to an absolute minimum at just barely over two pounds per pair, while extra thin wood sidewalls and a full length carbon laminate give the ski powerful rebound to propel you forward with every kick. Salomon designed the Yellow expressly for firm and compact snow, pressing the ski into its 569 Advanced Camber profile. This profile moves the apex of the camber several centimeters forward to increase pressure in the tail and decrease it in the tip, giving you a more powerful kick, increased stability, and easier tip return. Every ski is also pressed with Digital Dynamic Flex Control to ensure perfectly uniform flex characteristics in every pair. In keeping with it's hard snow orientation, the Yellow features a G5 Zeolit Universal base that's meant to glide fast in all snow temperatures, and Salomon gave it a World Cup Universal grind that structures the base to perform in temperatures 17F and up.
