It's easy to get wet on a ride and think Oh well, that's just life, but it doesn't have to be. Sugoi's figured out how to balance weather protection, breathability, and ergonomics with its RSE NeoShell Men's Jacket, a super tech softshell rain jacket that's made to defeat rain, banish sweat, and kick discomfort to the curb when you're putting in the inclement miles.Traditional rain jackets are waterproof, but the standard design tends to be clammy and lack stretch, so you can feel like you're wrapped in a tarp. NeoShell, which was developed by Polartec, uses a top secret construction to block water as effectively as a hard shell while maintaining dramatically increased breathability, so you don't stay dry on the outside but get soaked in sweat anyway. NeoShell is also highly stretchy, so you don't feel constricted like you do in a regular rain jacket or have to sacrifice water protection in favor of stretchy panels. Of course, Sugoi also cut the RSE with cycling specific patterns, so it will fit well whether you're in the drops or riding upright. The RSE's awesomeness doesn't end with the fabric and cut. Sugoi taped all the seams to ensure complete water resistance, and threw in hook and loop cuffs and a drawcord hem to provide a secure barrier against the elements. The fabric itself is finished with a DWR treatment, which encourages the water to bead and run off instead of soaking in. Three zippered pockets, two at the back and one at the chest, are designed to be used with gloves, and the front zipper is offset to prevent chin irritation all the zippers are also taped to stop water creeping in. Finally, reflective details help you stay seen in crummy weather, and the RSE's race fit won't flap or act like an airbrake when you're trying to put a soggy descent in your rearview mirror.
