Legendary big mountain rider, Jeremy Jones, has done gnarly first descents everywhere from Alaska to the Himalayas, so it's safe to assume he has pretty high standards for the gear he trusts out there. Well, Now must have done something right when designing the Drive Snowboard Binding, because this is the one Jeremy Jones rocks when he's ripping scary spines and heart stopping chutes deep in the backcountry. Built with Now's revolutionary Skate Tech, the Drive binding forgoes a traditional binding chassis in favor of a Hangar baseplate that's attached to a pivoting Kingpin hinge. This allows the binding to transfer energy much like a skateboard truck does. Suddenly, initiating toe and heelside turns is much more fluid and natural, as the kingpin acts like a fulcrum, magnifying your energy response when you're carving from edge to edge. For added customization, you can swap out the bushings that contact the board, allowing you to choose between medium or hard density vibration dampening. Featuring Now's Calfback highback, the Drive Binding gives you maximum heelside response, thanks to a pre rotated design that's much taller 15mm higher than the what you'd find on the Now IPO binding. This highback also features a subtle lateral hook that adds support on big landings and takeoffs. Furthermore, you'll find the highback easily comes off, allowing you to ride in Noback mode by inserting the Highcup sold separately. Flushcup technology positions the highback so that it sits above the heelcup, ensuring the back of your boot is flush with both the highback and the heelcup for improved response and a better fit. Looking at the binding's Flipit ankle straps, you'll immediately notice their tool less adjustability that allow you to flip flop the left and right straps for a different feel. Ride with the ankle straps in the 'upward' position for extra lateral support and response or switch 'em to the 'downward' position for great heel hold plus extra tweakability. B...
