Like an attack dog that gets off its chain, the Nordica Dobermann EDT 130 Ski Boot is not going to stop until it has shredded everything it can sink its teeth into. Virtually the same boot used by Nordica's World Cup athletes but with a slightly toned down 130 flex, the Dobermann has a super responsive 98mm last designed to squeeze every drop of performance out of your feet. The flex is adjustable, courtesy of a screw that can loosen things up if the day calls for a softer boot, but it'll remain torsionally stiff thanks to an EDT carbon fiber boot board that prevents the boot from twisting when you're putting everything you've got into a turn. Triax PU ether, the material that makes up the shell, is significantly lighter than average shell plastic, and flexes consistently regardless of temperature, so you won't find yourself skiing in rear entry style slop on a warm spring day, and a double canting adjustment allows you to customize the cuff angle to suit your style. Perhaps most importantly in this day and age, the Dobermann is super customizable, with a heat moldable liner and 4 micro adjustable buckles. Even better, it features the Bootfitter's Best Friend Gridworx system, which employs a double sided grid marked on the shell of the boot, allowing bootfitters to pinpoint hot spots and fine tune punches. Screw in, as opposed to riveted, buckles and canting adjustments, making changes or replacements a no sweat procedure so you spend more time ripping up the mountain than sitting in the shop.
