NiteRider doesn't make lights just for you to use as you finish out your ride at sunset. The California based company, started by surfers who wanted to head out long after the sun had gone down to get the best breaks, created its NiteRider Pro 3600 Enduro Remote to illuminate the trails when the only light is coming from the stars. Offering 3,600 lumens of brightness, the Enduro Remote will highlight the detailed contours of the trail, allowing you to pick a line ahead of time rather than trying to anticipate what you can't see or disastrously misjudging the height of a log roll over. NiteRider released the Pro 3600 in a customizable DIY version, and the company offers the Enduro Remote as a more straightforward option with preset modes instead. Still using the same dual LED bulb design, the Enduro offers four brightness settings, as well as a flash mode for the times you have to ride on the roads to get where you're going. Depending on which mode you choose, the light will run continuously from just over an hour to over 16 hours. When it needs a charge, the eight cell Lithium Ion battery quick releases and takes about five hours to recharge. Mount the Enduro Remote to your helmet or handlebars, and once you're riding, control the light with ease with an included remote switch that mounts to your handlebars all together, the whole system will add a claimed 839g to your frame.
