Bringing it back to Never Summer's earliest days when swallowtails dominated Colorado's legendary Berthoud Pass, the Never Summer Swift Snowboard is a retro inspired, pow surfing machine for the deepest days of the year. Its tapered swallowtail shape naturally sinks the rear, keeping the board's prominent nose up and planing through bottomless powder and thick snow. Set back along the Swift's directional shape, Original Rocker Camber places generous rocker underfoot, with cambered zones running just outside the bindings toward the tip and tail contacts. Ultimately, you get the best of both rocker and camber, bestowing unbelievable float with edge grip and control to match. Its mid firm flex and extensive RDS 1 Dampening make it surprisingly stable once the pow's all tracked up, busting through chop and carving hardpack with ease. The Super Light Wood Core shaves precious weight without sacrificing the board's legendary durability. Plus, its Carbonium topsheet features a matte like finish that resists scratches and chips, also acting as a built in stomp pad. As powder purists are well aware, base damaging rocks, upturned roots, and hidden logs are always lurking, sometime just inches under the snow during early season conditions. Realizing this, Never Summer constructed the Swift with aluminum tip and tail protectors, as well as a Durasurf XT 5501 base to protect against scratches and dings. This incredibly durable base has added graphite, helping you glide over sticky spring snow and deep, dry powder without bogging down.
