Usually when you hear, that's your answer for everything, it's a negative statement. But when talking about the Proto HD X Wide Snowboard, Never Summer will take that as a compliment. That's because this all mountain freestyle board excels everywhere from the terrain park to powder filled trees and wide open bowls. This wide version of Never Summer's most versatile board helps big booted riders dominate every aspect of the mountain. Camber underfoot provides the edge hold and power needed to boost jumps and lay down carves, while rocker between the bindings gives it a forgiving feel and helps it float in the deep stuff. Plus, extended transition zones at the main contact points allow for effortless edge to edge transitioning. Multiple radii along the Vario Power Grip sidecut create extra contact points for reliable edge hold on icy slopes, and the twin shape lets you take off and land switch. The RDS 2 damping system offers a smooth ride when you're riding through chunder and gives the board high speed stability. Sustainably harvested poplar is fused with hardwood birch to create an incredibly lightweight, yet durable core. Bi Lite fiberglass gives it a smooth, consistent flex, while a dual top and bottom carbon matrix channels energy for incredible power underfoot. Sintered P Tex sidewalls maintain integrity at cold temperatures so they won't crack when you gap to boardslide or land backseat on a frosty afternoon. The Carbonium topsheet is chip resistant and sheds snow, and it has a texture that is grippier than standard topsheets for better traction when you're pushing one footed. It's finished off with an extremely durable, high density Durasurf XT sintered 5501 base that has graphite added to keep you hauling at high speeds into jumps or across traverses.
