With NeilPryde's long history working with carbon in the windsurfing world, it isn't surprising that the 2016 Nazare 2 Road Frameset comes with claims of wind slicing aerodynamics, responsive handling, and an impeccably balanced ride. It's constructed from NeilPryde's C6. 9 uni directional, high modulus carbon fiber, which is the highest grade carbon the company feels is appropriate for constructing bicycles. As a result of this construction, the Nazare 2 frame weighs in at a claimed 920 grams for the 56cm size, placing it firmly amongst the lightest of the aerodynamic road category. NeilPryde fashions the Nazare 2's tubing for optimal aerodynamic efficiency across a wide range of yaw angles rather than just straight headwinds in a tunnel, which translates to a fast, stable ride in variable air movement you'll encounter in real world conditions. While the tubing shape varies slightly across the frame to manage airflow, much of the frame features NeilPryde's Extended Kamm design, which essentially is a chopped off NACA foil shape similar to that found in other top end aerodynamic road options. Up front the Nazare 2's carbon fiber fork features a bladed shape for an extra dose of wind slicing prowess. In place of a traditionally mounted rear brake, the Nazare 2 tucks the brake caliper out of the wind behind the bottom bracket, and both it and the front brake are direct mount. Keeping up with the times, the Nazare 2 features a Di2 battery mount and internal cable routing compatible with both electronic and mechanical systems. As a final touch it gets an integrated seat post clamp for clean lines and easy adjustment.
