Over 70 years ago, a unique shirt made from hand printed kabe crepe was created in a tiny tailor shop in Honolulu. It captured the spirit of the Hawaiian Islands, and would later become famous as the aloha shirt. As its popularity grew, it came to be accepted in the Islands as formal wear appropriate for all but the most rigid of occasions. Commemorating the pioneering designers and folks of all backgrounds who first embraced these colorful expressions of the Aloha spirit, our PatalohaR Shirt features original prints and a 100% organic cotton dobby with a linen like texture.
