The Yksion Pro Powerlink Clincher Tire joins its front specific counterpart, the Yksion Pro Griplink, in the center of Mavic's clincher hierarchy. It's also got the same low weight, a claimed 190g for the 23mm size, which is lighter than the base model Yksion and the top end CXR specific tires alike. Low weight doesn't mean the Yksion Pro Powerlink is a lightweight when it comes to lifespan, though, as its higher durometer center strip gives it more longevity and a lower rolling resistance than the Griplink up front. Instead of the Griplink's Kevlar breaker, the Powerlink features nylon reinforcement, a move meant to further decrease the tire's rolling resistance. After all, as a rear specific model, its first and last job is to convert watts to velocity.
