Take a close look at the Rudy Jersey and you'll see what Kitsbow's designers mean when they say they're obsessed with the details. On the surface it might seem to be just a sharp looking short sleeve riding top, but further examination shows that it's much more. The best fabrics, hardware, and purpose driven features are ever present, making it the ideal layer for warm weather rides. Differing from most other short sleeve jerseys we've encountered, the Rudy was constructed with purposeful fabric blends that are exclusive to each colorway. For example, the Moab Orange iteration was made with a technical nylon, merino wool, and spandex blend, which effectively bolsters the overall durability while still maximizing its mobility and moisture transfer characteristics. For the Melage Grey, Kitsbow applied a stretchy polyester and merino wool blend, which is also inherently quick drying, and its light composition makes it ideal for warm weather riding conditions. In terms of fit, the Rudy follows Kitsbow's streamlined, riding specific silhouette that's consistent throughout its apparel collection. What this means is that it was cut trim to follow a rider's body while in the saddle, with a slight drop tail hem that's been treated with a silicone gripper to keep it securely in place. The sleeves hit midway down the upper arms, and their trim profile matches that of the body. At the neck opening, Kitsbow added a convertible collar with a half length button closure giving the rider freedom to choose how much ventilation and coverage takes place up top. Along these same lines, a five button front closure provides both classic styling and added ventilation. For the details, Kitsbow delivered in its signature form. Within the button closure chest pocket is a tethered microfiber cleaning cloth, making it handy when glasses need a quick mid ride wipe down. At the top of the pocket flap is a break in the stitching that's reminiscent of classic collared shirts' pen slots...
