New for 2014! A lightweight technical option for warm weather backpacking, the Kelty SB 35 sleeping bag provides the extreme compressibility of down insulation with the all weather reliability normally associated only with synthetic fills. The SB 35 is designed as a member of Kelty's TraiLogic gear collection.Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth to weight ratio of any insulation available. The one inherent weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but the DriDown featured in the SB 35 bag performs differently. Employing a unique, innovative polymer application, DriDown actually creates a hydrophobic finish on each individual plume of down. This treatment results in insulation that stays dry up to 10 times longer and dries 33% faster, should it become wet, than untreated down bags. Box baffle construction in the SB 35 eliminates cold spots, keeping outside air from reaching the interior of the bag. A draft tube behind the 60, two way locking zipper, an insulated top draft collar and a contoured hood with an insulated hood baffle further enhance the thermal efficiency of the SB 35 bag. The hood utilizes Kelty's patented FatMan and Ribbon drawcords, allowing you to adjust the top or lower sections of the hood by feel even when it's dark outside. A 20D nylon taffeta liner provides internal comfort, and the inclusion of strategically placed extra waterproof protection at hood and foot assures that chill caused by condensation will not be a problem. Other features found on the SB 35 include sleeping pad security loops. The Kelty SB 35 Degree sleeping bag is available in Regular fits up to 6' 0 and Long up to 6' 6 lengths. Each SB 35 bag includes a mesh storage sack and stuff sack. Long, Regular, 35410914LR, 35410914RR
