Hutchinson has finally released a tire to compare to its beloved Bulldog discontinued in the wake of changing UCI tire width regulations by adopting the Bulldog's tread pattern to the narrower Toro CX Clincher tire. The Bulldog's replacement has a 32mm width that's well within UCI regulations, but it keeps that signature knob profile, so it's just as ready to take on rainy, snowy trails with plenty of mud. The Toro CX's tread makes it well suited for loose conditions, with firmer, taller knobs in the center complemented by shorter, softer knobs on the outside of the tire. This combination creates a tire with confidence inspiring grip while cornering that's comfortable on slick mud or dry, unpredictable gravel. Made in France, the tire features a supple 127tpi casing and Hutchinson's Skinwall SKW technology, which involves creating the tread with thin rubber overlays to create a lighter, more flexible tire. Its construction gives the tire responsiveness and compliance with dependability for racing or everyday training.
